figures show the labor >> some growth is recovery from the downturn that we had, some is net job growth higher numbers than we have seen in the past. >> to see where the jobs are. breaking it down by area.and start in the east bay. where jobs were added in private schools and health care. in the south bay, hiring happening in retail, business services and leisure and hospitality. in the west bay, which includes san francisco, san mateo.. the biggest category for job gains are in professional and business services, followed by retail, private schools, health care then >> we had seen tech growth, now spread out to a variety of >> construcion jobs also saw some modest improvement, but numbers were down for government and finacial jobs.like banking and real estate. overall, hiring is happening.

while the chance of showers returns >>pam: people walking on san francisco's embarcadero this afternoon were in for a show when a man climbed pier 29's police say the man hit one person with a skateboard and kicked another one before running away to climb up the scaffolding. drivers on embarcadero were diverted to other police were able to get the suspect to climb down just after three and take him into custody. >> a fan seriously hurt -- when he fell from the upperdeck of the oakland coliseum. it happened just as last night's raiders game was getting starting. kron4's will tran has the story. >> the man fell from the upper deck to the lower concourse. according to the alameda county sheriff's departed he fell 30 ft. he fell from inside the coliseum to the outside. the oakland police are

hospital who took a prank call from two australian disc jockeys has been found dead today. it's believed the woman committed suicide.and some are calling her a victim of that hoax. it happened less than a day after kate middleton left the london hospital where she had been treated for extreme morning sickness. the nurse who had answered the phone to two d-j's pretending to be queen elizabeth and prince charles hospital >> it is with deep sadness to confirm this tragic death of our nursing staff. >> that hoax call was heard around the world. the hosts of an australian radio show say they never expected the prank call would get anywhere. but it did... > > could i please speak with my neice.. did.

jacintha saldanha transferred the call.a different nurse went on to give out confidential information on how the duchess was doing. people were divided on whether the prank was relatively harmless or crossing the line. but no one expected this. the hospital boss claims everyone was supportive of the nurses involved. a royal source says the palace never complained to the hospital. now the radio station's facebook page has been bombarded with angry comments. one saying "blood is on your hands." the d-j's have been taken off the air indefinitely. jacintha saldhanha was a wife and mother of two. a coroner will make the official finding on how she died. >> this is blowing up, the facebook and our facebook fan page. we are asking you what do you think should happen to the disc jockey? should they be fired, or criminal charges? details on

that, coming up. >>catherine: the unrest continues in egypt.with thousands of people demanding that president mohammed morsi step down. there have been large public funerals for some of the protestors who have been killed. morsy is saying he's willing to talk to protestors - but he hasn't revoked his edict giving himself extensive powers. at least six people died when pro-government supporters clashed with those camped outside the palace. a lawyer for security software pioneer john mcafee says his client is doing better after suffering chest pain. mcafee is in guatamala - where his request for political asylum has been rejected. his lawyer says he suffered convulsions and was rushed to the hospital after his request was denied. he was taken into custody for allegedly entering the country illegally. mcafee doesn't want to return to belize - where he's wanted for questioning in the shooting death of a neighbor. >> the situation in syria may be reaching the boiling point. u-s officials are warning president bashar

karin caifa has the latest. >> despite the gloomy prospect of the nation going over the fiscal cliff, the november jobs report delivered better-than- expected news. the labor department said the nation's unemployment rate fell to 7- point-7 percent last month, the lowest in almost four years. >> it's a steady report that shows we continue to see jobs coming back but we still have a long way to go. >> businesses added 146,000 new jobs. retailers, boosted by holiday hiring, accounted for about one- third of them. economists expected about 77,000 new jobs, given the toll of superstorm sandy and concerns about the fiscal cliff. tax increases and spending cuts are set to trigger after january first unless the white house and congressional republicans strike a compromise. house speaker john boehner said friday the president's current approach could hamper future job growth. >> because the risk the president wants us to take, increasing tax rates, will hit many small businesses
